My cousin is prone to diabetic lesions and often harms himself through picking and tearing at his legs and feet. If you haven’t noticed, I am using very soft language to describe this person’s physical and psychiatric issues. He had one pair of slippers that barely fit over his self-adhesive foot wraps and a few months ago, he left one shoe behind at the Veterans Affairs hospital. While taking him to the next lab draw and as we waited for his number to be called, I researched shoes appropriate to his particular needs. I had shopped around at local brick-and-mortar stores and could not find footwear to accommodate his unique problems.During my research, I ran across multiple products that claimed to meet these needs. Many were expensive, ugly, or laborious to secure to the foot. I stopped at this product and showed it to him. He shrugged and fell back asleep in his chair at the VA hospital waiting room. He wears nothing but navy blue sweatpants and it is a struggle to even get a shirt on him before we go out into public. After another ten minutes of weighing other brands and styles, I placed the order for these shoes. Would he lose one within the first few hours? Would he like them? Would he wear them? I assumed the zero-risk Amazon return policy would back me up if these proved to be inadequate fo the task. When I slapped these on him, I asked “How do they feel?” He grunted “Fine.” After that day’s appointment, I tried to take them off of him and he pulled away. “You can leave em’. They’re comfy.” I sat back in surprise. This man usually wears a size 10, but with the 3-5 layers of wound wrapping on his feet, the size 11 seemed to fit him perfectly. “You wanna wear them to bed?” I asked. He nodded silently. I exclaimed “Okay. Lemme know if they get uncomfortable.” He’s been wearing them 24/7 since that day months ago. They are removed twice a week when I remove the coverings to clean, lotion, treat, and rewrap his legs. Other than that, they stay on his feet permanently. As of this last week, all diabetic lesions are closed and healed. This is the first time I can honestly say that in over a year. Yet still, he refuses to remove these shoes unless I yank them off myself.I ordered another pair for him to wear “in public”, but due to the ‘machine-washable’ nature of these shoes, I haven’t needed the second set. Once a month, while he is sleeping, I take them off and run them through the wash with a dry on low heat. This removes any stains, grime, or odor from these shoes immediately. By the time he wakes, he is either already wearing the freshly-washed shoes or I put them on him when he walks by. Thanks to the top-entry operation of this item, I don’t have to struggle or strain while putting them on his feet; no matter the thickness of the foot wraps.Keep in mind, this product or my efforts mean nothing to this man, but I have yet to find ANY shoe as easy to equip or keep secure as these. If I didn’t wear a size 13, I’d put them on myself to see how they feel. The best I can tell you is: He refuses to take them off if he can help it. Whether he is sleeping, eating, or passing out on the porch with a cigarette in his hand, these shoes stay secure and keep his feet clean and pretty for my bi-weekly cleaning operation. It has been years since I have been able to keep shoes on these feet that I am responsible for and I cannot imagine a better set of shoes for everyday wear than these. 5/5 stars for a quality product; delivered within hours of our return from the VA hospital that day.

My husband has a problem with his feet swelling, but also trying to get slippers on, even when they aren’t swelling. I’ve looked at these before and he always thought they were old mans slippers, but he loves them. Easy to put on, adjusts if his feet are swelling and washable. Good support. He is so happy. No muss, no fuss slippers for those with ANY issues. He likes his shoes to be a 10 wide, so I wasn’t sure with these. Some people said to order larger, but we ordered his regular size 10. They are great. In reality he use to wear a 9 1/2 regular, but as he got older and he wanted more room for his toes he went to a 10EE. This is what he buys in Sketchers. We recommend these and they’ll be on his Christmas list for this year to have a back up.

His feet get swollen from edema and these slippers are his favorites since the Velcro easy to adjust tightness, they look nice and he can walk outside on patio in them . The nurses that help take care of him have been impressed and want to know where I got them since they work well. Even when he wore a bandage for a week it could gently be Velcro shut over it. I actually guessed at width and toe box since he can’t verbalize but it looks like a good fit.

I purchased these for my dad. He had a LOT of foot swelling and these were easy to get on and off. These shoes are light weight and great for around the house. The soles aren’t very thick but are suitable for limited outside wear. These slippers were the best thing we ever found for fit and ease of wear.

I was looking for a slipper for a family member, that had a wide toe box and DID NOT narrow at the toe. This slipper fit the bill perfectly. Neat appearance and easy to get on and off. He liked it so much we ordered a 2nd pair.

Feel nice and soft with a good comfortable rubber bottom. I have had several operations on one leg and foot which make one of my feet a little bigger than the other. The Velcro top make the slippers fit perfectly.

UPDATE: Hubby has been wearing his slippers for 3 months, every evening for 4-5 hrs , and likes them as much or better than when he first got them. He has supination in his left ankle, so shoes, especially soft-bodied shoes, like a slipper, can lose their shape rather quickly. To be sure we could get these again, I just ordered another pair, a size 11 again, this time in brown, and again without original pkging so pd only $14.75. They were delivered in 2 days, in perfect condition, and he now has a spare pair in the closet. If you have a hard-to-fit foot or other foot issues, such as hubby, these slippers might something you want to try. They’ve been very good for hubby!ORIGINAL REVIEW:SIZING: If you normally wear a half size, I recommend going UP to the next size rather than downsizing. For orthotics or swelling, go up at least one full size, possibly two sizes depending on severity of swelling. The flap on the top helps with the fit.Hubby wears a size 10 D boot. I ordered these in 11 D, and they are a perfect fit and easy wear, even with his foot issues and orthotics.PRICE: I ordered a pair that did not come in its original packaging so got a discount, paid $17.00 rather than the listed price of $25. Great value, very satisfied with the condition and quality of the slippers received. No problems.REVIEW: These are a big hit with hubby, very comfortable and easy to wear on his hard-to-fit feet. He has extremely high arches which usually makes any slip-on foot wear impossible to get into. He wears an ortho brace on the L foot and often has his R foot wrapped. Because the flap on top of these slippers opens up the slipper, they’re easy to get on. They accommodate his foot issues, are warm, easy to put on and wear for an extended time, just an overall great house slipper. They do have a hard sole, and he has worn them out to the garage, but he wouldn’t wear them outside other than to just step out briefly to get something out of the truck, for example, but we live in the country, so that probably makes a difference. They get a high recommendation from here, especially if you have hard-to-fit feet or don’t typically have good luck with slip-on footwear.
