My husband has a medical condition that causes edema and extremely swollen feet and lower legs. When it flares up, he’s unable to wear normal shoes, and even “wide” width and diabetic shoes are too small. However, he’s still fully mobile, so he needs footwear with proper soles on them to wear when he leaves the house vs. just socks with anti-slip rubber grip bottoms, and these have been the best option that we’ve found so far. What he likes most:Because both the upper section and heels are adjustable (many similar shoes only have Velcro tabs on top), these are able to adjust to a full range of different sizes and also accommodate times when one foot is more swollen than the other. The memory foam insoles and fabric upper section are both very soft and comfortable. In addition to the Velcro flaps on top, the tongue is only attached along its upper edge, which means that it can be flipped up to fully open the upper section and allow him to step straight down into them rather than needing to pull them on. That’s a big help when his legs are swollen to the point that it’s difficult to bend them up to reach his feet. The rubber soles are solid and stable to walk in.What he would change if he could:These are heavier than expected due to the thick soles, and his feet already feel very heavy from the excess fluid in them, so he wishes they weighed less overall. The edging around the upper Velcro tabs is a little bit stiff and can sometimes dig into the front of his legs where his feet and ankles meet, so he’d like that to be a little softer, and he also wishes that the tabs were placed a little further out to be more over the center of his foot and away from his ankle. As a whole, the pros far outweigh the cons, though, so we would definitely recommend them and plan to buy more in the other colors as well.

My Nino recently had 3 toes removed. And 1 foot keeps swelling. He lives in a memory care center so it’s hard to find shoes for him right now. I needed to find a pair of shoes that would fit his swollen foot and his regular foot. These are perfect. The swollen foot was comfortable and the shoe looked normal- no Velcro showing (and his foot is quite swollen) and I was able to adjust the other shoe for the not swollen foot to fit perfectly. I did have to buy a size larger because there’s no half sizes but that’s fine because the back heel is also adjustable and he can tighten that to make it a little smaller. I’m glad I found these. They are well made and the memory foam inside seemed of good quality. My godfather was happy with the color also. Usually any color other than black he will comment about negatively but he said “oh these are sharp.” He’s in his late 70s – means they look nice haha. They’re also affordable compare to other fully adjustable shoes I’ve seen in store and online.

These slippers are true to size which is always an issue when ordering online. They are extremely comfortable to wear and well worth the price.

I needed to find a shoe that my family member could easily put on by themselves, but was also comfortable for their diabetic needs. These shoes are extremely comfortable, they are washable, and they have three different flaps that allow for the entire base of the shoe to be visible. My family member is able to simply set their foot in the shoe and adjust to the swelling they have at that time. After several washes they still have remained the same color, the velcro is still very tight securing, and the wear and tear is very minimal after several months. I have tried other brands but none have matched these so far.

bought these for my aging father … was at his house one day and he had on some old slippers … I saw that his foot slipped inside the shoe and he almost lost his balance … he is a diabetic and sometimes his feet will swell up some … so he had one pair of slippers he wore cuz they fit his foot when it was swollen … when he got these he was like a kid in a candy store … he could adjust them, make them snug or loosen them … it was so cute watching him play with them and now these are the only house shoes he will wear … love them .. would buy them again …

Had a medicine reaction and my whole body swelled up. It took weeks(literally) for it to go down. I could not wear socks or shoes. These made it so much easier with adjustable straps. As the swelling went down I could adjust snugger. Also the sole was firm and east for outdoor walking. Definitely would order again

Our measurements, and the fact that the US 12.5 shoes my husband wears were just a fraction of an inch larger than the measurements on the size chart for size 12, led me to order these slippers in size 13 at first. He has oddly shaped feet, and for years he had been wearing size 14W shoes, b/c anything else hurt. But recently he started tripping over his own shoes, leading to a visit to a pedorthist (foot/shoe expert) who determined his correct size really is a 12.5 length, but they indeed are quite wide.So yes, back to the story … size 12.5 is slightly longer than size 12, as you would expect. He has sensitive toes, so we ordered up to the 13, since these slippers don’t come in 12.5 and we didn’t want to squish his toes.Big mistake. He tried the size 12 slippers on, decided they felt all right, walked around the room a bit like you would in a shoe store, so we were both happy. Then he sat down for a while, walked into the next room, and immediately tripped over his feet again. The size 13s really did seem to have a lot of extra space in them, so we returned them and ordered 12s.The 12s fit much better, and with less slipper in the way, hopefully he’ll not have the same problem! (There’s been no tripping over feet all day today!)Also, because they are so adjustable, I’m sure that we can adjust upward if he were to have a day where his feet swelled up or they felt tight. So … good purchase — I just recommend ordering down if your feet are 1/2 size. And if you have very slender feet, these might not be the best slippers for you.But they are perfect for his wide feet.

These shoes were a life saver for my swollen feet. I was able to move around very well by adjusting the Velcro closings.
