After a few rounds of the standard AMZ run of no-name brands, I decided to hop back to a name brand to see if there truly was a difference. In a word? Yes.These shoes are very comfortable. I’d kinda developed foot problems with these no name brands, and these also seem to alleviate the pain that came with those… Interesting.I’ve owned many pairs of Sketchers over the years, and these are the best I’ve had. The soles are excellent support, the width is something that actually made me laugh when I put them on. I have wide feet and they just “fit”. No break in needed.Another point I’d like to touch- soles- these are actual honest to no kidding rubber. I know that sounds dumb, but so many shoes these days use foam. Nice.Overall, I’m very pleased. I’ll update this if anything changes, but I feel I got my money’s worth, and can finally settle the question: Cheap shoes or good shoes…

My husband is really hard on shoes and hard to fit into shoes. He has wide feet. He can fit into a regular width shoe, but it eventually distorts the shoe by stretching it out and it can’t be comfortable to wear. He loved this shoe so much that when the sole came unglued and came apart, he re-glued it and wore them for another year. He had these shoes for at least three years before they became unwearable and I bought a second pair for him. He loves the fit and the cushion of the insole. Says they are comfortable from day one and need no breaking in period. For my husband to have a shoe last three years is saying something about the shoe. He has tried a $200 shoe which literally did not last a year and cheap shoes that lasted no time. The Sketcher Afterburn is his favorite shoe…well favorite after the Sketcher slip ins he has discovered! Great comfort and value and it held up to my husband’s abuse.

I’ve had these about a week now, tried them out in the house for the first few days and noticed the cushion in the sole was very forgiving on my large feet. After they were broken in, I took them with me on a hiking trip and they are performing very well, they are low sided so my feet have remained cool, the traction is aggressive enough to go up vertical loose dirt hills without much backslide, after I was done I wiped the dirt away easily with a slightly wet paper towel and they were right back to clean.

Been wearing multiple pairs of these shoes for a few years they are great for walking, hiking, and just general outings. Very comfortable and fit true to size. i get over a year of use out of a pair and walk five miles min a day.

They are comfortable and support well but they do not last. I have purchased these for several years. I bought my most recent pair in April 2024 now in early August 2024 the soles have come off both of the shoes. Very disappointed

This is my second pair in three years. I wear them for long distance mountain bike trips (300 miles of mud, dirt, and rocks)They start of a little stiff, but keep my feet protected under harsh conditions. Since endurance MTB includes a lot of hike-a-bike, regular mtb shoes are either uncomfortable for walking or can’t withstand the abuse These shoes are rugged and comfortable. Used a damp cloth to clean them and wear them as my regular shoes when walking and hiking.

I’ve developed some foot problems and needed more comfortable shoes, which these are, but one of the funny things is a few people I don’t even know complimented the shoes based on appearance. The comfort thing was all that mattered to me, and they are comfortable. This is the moment in time when I finally realize, MAYBE I should buy another pair, NOW, rather than a few years from now when they might be altered or no longer sold.

My husband wears these to work and he’s on his feet a lot. He says they are very comfortable. He’s very hard on shoes but so far they’re holding up well. He usually uses a custom orthotic but these are supportive enough without them. He likes Skechers brand in general as they tend to be very comfortable and affordable.

Man these shoes are hella comfortable. Im a UPS driver and always on my feet. Didn’t take long for the memory foam to mold to my feet. Only thing I did was replace the shoe laces with a darker brown. No slip tread, true to size.

The are very durable, sizes are great, generated foot support. Your footing is very stable with the hard and sturdy tread. Cleans easy too for lawn care pros.
